A Sunday appointment can make implant treatment workable for people with fixed weekday schedules. The difficulty is that an old map listing, an occasional Sunday schedule, and regular weekly hours can look similar in search results. We checked two map services before including a clinic in the Gyeonggi Province list.
Clinics remained only when both Kakao Map and Google Maps showed Sunday hours on the verification date. We then compared HIRA specialist and equipment registrations and the size of public visitor-review samples. Sunday sessions are often shorter than weekday sessions, and the last check-in may be earlier than the displayed closing time, so direct confirmation is still necessary before travelling.

The order uses one reproducible public-evidence score: registered specialists up to 5 points, simultaneous oral-surgery and prosthodontics registration, cone-beam CT registration, and visitor-review sample. “Open on Sunday” is an entry requirement and does not add points.

How the order is calculated
One published formula determines the order. No clinic can pay to move upward, and editors do not rearrange the list by preference. The clinic cards display the same inputs used in the calculation.
- Mandatory filter
- A clinic must be shown as open on Sunday on both Kakao Map and Google Maps. If only one source lists Sunday hours, the clinic is excluded regardless of score. The filter is applied before any score is calculated.
- Scoring formula
- Registered specialists: 1 point each, capped at 5; both oral surgery and prosthodontics registered: 3 points; cone-beam CT registered: 1 point; visitor-review sample: logarithmic value capped at 3. Blog-post volume is excluded because it can reflect marketing activity. The specialist cap prevents a university dental hospital with many specialists from dominating every other public indicator.
- Tie-breaks
- Naver visitor-review count, then Google review count, then clinic name.
- Conflicting hours
- Clinics with conflicting Kakao and Google hours are removed from time-based lists. In this review, the excluded set was 사과나무치과병원 (부천), 원흥탑치과의원 (고양), 연세제이치과의원 (파주), 남서울치과 (수정), 마음심는치과병원 (용인).
